More emphasis should be put on the development of alternative fuel vehicles, because as each year passes our fossil fuel reserves decrease, there are great environmental benefits, and there are great future cost reductions. Others believe that some of the possible alternative fuels are unsafe, that there arent sufficient alternatives to perform as well as gasoline, and that alternative fuel vehicles are just a fad.
